Job Title:Site Superintendent - TI & Commercial Fit-outs

Location:Vancouver, BC

Salary Range:$110,000 - $125,000

Overview

We are looking for an Site Superintendent to join our client's team. The successful candidate will support on-site delivery of commercial renovations (TI's) and fit-outs, ensuring project safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards. This role involves leading subcontractors and teams, resolving on-site issues, and managing project documentation and billing. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, leadership experience, and expertise in construction management practices.

Must Haves

  • Minimum two years of commercial construction experience or a combination of relevant education and field experience
  • Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, technical drawings, specifications, budgets and project schedules

Nice to Haves

  • Red Seal Certification in Carpentry
  • Experience in large-scale commercial interior renovations and fit-outs
  • Knowledge of subcontract agreements, local codes, and labor agreements

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate subcontractors and project teams on-site
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Manage and oversee the site safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Supervise, develop, and provide feedback to Field Engineers and interns
  • Create and implement project schedules, including recovery strategies as needed
  • Communicate with project stakeholders to resolve on-site issues and ensure project continuity
  • Oversee and manage project billing, payroll, and subcontractor payment applications
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with all approved contract documents
