Job Details : IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist
Must Have:
Prior OPS experience with Enterprise architecture governance
Preparation of materials for Architecture Review Board (ARB) or equivalent governance bodies such as AI Governance - specifically AGP 1/2
Experience with artefacts prior (current state, solution blueprints, reference architecture, solution architecture documents, etc.)
TRA experience and cyber security standards.
GO-ITS standards (security)
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Masters degree or certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect) are strongly preferred.
- Experience: (50%)
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture and solution architecture within a public sector or large enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience with OPS enterprise architecture governance, this includes supporting the process as well as delivering required artefacts.
- Understanding of various compliance standards including but not limited to GO-ITS, FIPPA,PHIPPA, and ARA.
- Hands-on experience delivering necessary AGP artefacts and contributing to architecture reviews, blueprint development and target state planning.
- Familiarity with OPS I&IT Standards and environments, including shared services, ministry specific systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to integrate complex, AI-powered solutions while managing cross-functional dependencies.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams involving business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Technical Skills: (35%)
- Strong understanding of EA frameworks and their application in OPS setting.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity principles, and interoperability standards
- Microsoft Azure: Expert in Azure architecture, including security, networking, identity, data services, and monitoring.
- Enterprise Integration: Skilled in API development, ESB, microservices architecture, and middleware technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, specifically incident, change, and release management, and the PMO Stage Gate process in OPS.
- Knowledgeable in cloud-based security practices and compliance protocols relevant to OPS.
- Leadership & Collaboration Skills: (15%)
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience of providing technical guidance and influencing stakeholders across various levels.
- Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to bridge technical and business perspectives and align project outcomes with organizational goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a governance-driven, policy-rich environment.
Key deliverables for this role include, but are not limited to following:
- Architecture Artifacts
- Development of current state and target state architecture models across business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Creation of solution blueprints, reference architectures, and architecture patterns aligned with OPS standards.
- Architecture Review Documentation
- Preparation of materials for Architecture Review Board (ARB) or equivalent governance bodies such as AI Governance.
- Documentation of compliance assessments with GO-ITS standards, privacy, security, and accessibility requirements.
- EA Governance Contributions
- Support for EA governance processes, including tracking decisions, risks, and exceptions.
- Contribution to EA repositories and knowledge bases (e.g., EA SharePoint, modeling tools).
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitation of architecture working sessions with ministry stakeholders, I&IT clusters, and GovTechON.
- Development of communication materials to explain architectural decisions and trade-offs.
- Technology and Data Strategy Alignment
- Mapping of business capabilities to technology solutions.
- Identification of opportunities for reuse, consolidation, or modernization of systems and platforms.
- Risk and Impact Assessments and Compliance Reports
- Execution of RkAP (Recordkeeping, Access, and Privacy) assessments.
- Identification and documentation of technical risks, interoperability challenges, and security gaps.
- Regular reports addressing privacy, security and data integrity risks, with recommended action plans
- System Integration Plans and Roadmaps
- Roadmaps and plans detailing the integration of legacy systems, and inter-agency data-sharing strategies.
- Clearly defined milestones and performance metrics for successful implementation.
- Performance & Scalability Reports
- Continuous performance monitoring reports, including recommendations for optimizations to ensure the architecture remains future-proof
