MetCap Living Management Inc. is one of the largest private third-party property managers specializing in multi-residential property management. We are a growth orientated company with our head office located in Toronto, Ontario and property operations in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

MetCap Living Management Inc. has an immediate opening for a Resident Coordinator/Administrator at our Downtown Toronto office. This will be a part-time role for a term of 6 months.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resident Relations:
  • Liaison by phone, email or issuing letters to all Residents that have outstanding receivables with the purpose of collection of arrears, including but not limited to negotiations of payments plans.
  • Research, resolve, and communicate escalations within a timely manner.
  • Liaison with Operations, Legal Department and Sr. Management with regards to outstanding items including collections of arrears, communications, maintenance requests, and insurance.
  • Audit resident files as requested by Management.
Reporting:
  • Pull and prepare weekly and monthly reporting for outstanding items including arrears, communications, maintenance requests, and insurance.
  • Reporting for all communications with residence.
  • Compile statistical summary reporting monthly, quarterly, and when required by Management.
  • Ad hoc reporting as required.
Administration:
  • Document, maintain resident files in all MetCap's data systems and modules and ensure that they are updated and maintained.
  • Prepare Resident Legal files for court cases and ensure that Legal has all information required for hearings.
  • Issue letter to tenants.
  • Enter tenant receipt of payments received at our Head Office, prepare deposits and take deposits to the bank.
Other:
  • Special Projects as assigned by Management.
  • Assist with training and supervision of Tenant Liaison staff when required.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary Education required, preferably business administration or property management.
  • More than one year up to three years of job related experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi, Property Vista and Rent Café is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, as required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Management.
  • Strong organizational, coordination and documentation skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have strong negotiations and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices related to tenancy management including legal (Landlord and Tenant Board) and Residential Tenancies Act.
  • Ability to work independently.

Salary commensurate with experience. We will consider those with less qualifications who can demonstrate a strong aptitude for accounting and analytical skills.
