Management

The Operations Manager supports Department Heads to ensure all areas of the Resort operate efficiently and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role is hands-on, focused on assisting leaders in achieving service standards, resolving challenges, and ensuring guest satisfaction is consistently exceeded.

Accountabilities:

Guest Experience and Service Excellence

  • Champion guest satisfaction as the top priority across all departments.
  • Support Department Heads in providing personalized, high-quality guest service.
  • Assist in addressing and resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure service consistency.
  • Promote a guest-first culture through visibility, engagement, and support.


Operational Support and Team Development

  • Assist Department Heads in managing daily operations, budgets, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Provide hands-on support during peak periods or special events.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training to maintain a skilled, guest-focused team.
  • Provide input and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Encourage teamwork, accountability, and interdepartmental cooperation to achieve Resort goals.


Financial and Business Performance

  • Support department heads in monitoring budgets, expenses, and revenue targets.
  • Assist in developing and executing revenue-enhancing initiatives that align with guest expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability without compromising service quality.
  • Collaborate on promotional efforts, events, and guest engagement strategies.


Safety, Sustainability, and Professional Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and emergency procedures.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment for guests and staff.
  • Support resort sustainability initiatives and responsible resource use.
  • Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, and adherence to Resort appearance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager and Department Heads to ensure operational alignment.

Working Conditions, Education and Work Experience:


Work Environment and Hours

  • On-site, guest-facing role requiring visibility and engagement across all resort departments.
  • Fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent guest interaction and operational activity.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business levels require.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and maintain composure under pressure while prioritizing guest satisfaction.

Education and Work Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in a hospitality or Resort environment.
  • Proven track record of overseeing multiple departments and leading diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Resort standards.
    Fluent in Spoken and Written English
