Role Overview:

  • As aRapid Prototyping Engineer, this role rapidly turns business ideas into working prototypes by leveraging AI coding assistants and modern stacks to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and maintainability standards.
  • The focus is on assembling solutionsintegrating APIs, data sources, and thirdparty services.
  • Work proceeds in short, timeboxed cycles with frequent demos and stakeholder feedback to converge quickly on validated MVPs and reduce rework.
  • AIgenerated code is validated through tests, peer/code review, and security/licensing checks to ensure reliability and responsible use of AI in the software lifecycle.
  • Prompt strategies and reusable patterns are documented and versioned as a library, with CI/CD hooks to evaluate, update, and govern prompts over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly prototype using AI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor), crafting highquality prompts and iterating based on model feedback to accelerate proofofconcept delivery.
  • Assemble AIgenerated components into functional applications by wiring APIs, databases, authentication, and thirdparty services with pragmatic, testable designs.
  • Run short, timeboxed sprints with a weekly demo cadence; capture stakeholder feedback into the backlog to drive iterative refinement toward MVP.
  • Validate AIassisted code via unit/integration tests and peer/code reviews; use AI code review where appropriate without replacing human approvals.
  • Enforce security and compliance guardrails with code scanning, dependency/license checks, and remediation of findings before demos or handoffs.
  • Establish minimal CI/CD for prototypes with automated tests and linting; add logging and basic monitoring to enable quick diagnosis during iterations.
  • Create and maintain a reusable prompt/pattern library with versioning, structured outputs, and evaluation criteria for reliability and repeatability.
  • Document build/run instructions, environment prerequisites, and decision logs to make prototypes reproducible and handoffready.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., CIO, product, operations) to clarify requirements, prioritize highleverage experiments, and descope nonessential features early.
  • Transition successful prototypes toward hardened MVPs with basic observability, quality gates, and a clear path to productionization.

  • Number of prototypes delivered per month.
  • Speed from idea to functional prototype (cycle time).
  • Quality of AI-assisted code (test coverage, code reviews, security compliance).
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and feedback incorporation.
  • Reusability and growth of prompt/pattern library.
  • Successful transition of prototypes to MVPs.
  • Efficiency and adoption of AI-assisted workflows.
