Intermediate Accountant
Our Client, a leading wholesale distributor with locations across Western Canada is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a collaborative mindset.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Conduct bank, credit card, and inventory reconciliations
• Assist with GST/PST calculations and filings
• Maintain accuracy of financial data and ERP system integrity
• Support inventory and cost accounting (e.g., landed costs, freight-in, COGS)
• Manage capital assets and prepaid expenses
• Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and warehousing
• Provide backup support for AP and AR functions
• Contribute to process automation and efficiency improvements

Your strengths include:

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience with a relevant Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
• Actively pursuing CPA designation
• Strong Excel and general computer proficiency
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accountable
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central, Gartman) is an asset
