Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Site Superintendent to join their team. This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, supervising field teams and subcontractors, and coordinating with project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a seasoned construction professional with strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex site operations.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Lead site operations from planning through project completion
- Develop and execute construction strategies, schedules, and estimates
- Supervise self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring alignment with project goals
- Communicate expectations clearly to subcontractors and field staff
- Review and approve drawings, scopes, and subcontractor submissions
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure, respectful work environment
- Conduct performance reviews and manage field personnel
- Facilitate progress and safety meetings with subcontractors
- Oversee project closeout, ensuring financial and operational wrap-up
- Maintain a six-month forward-looking planning cycle for materials, schedules, and crews
- Monitor and manage project budgets, billing, and cost controls
- Make contractual and purchasing decisions within defined authority limits
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage customer experience
- Lead health, safety, and quality initiatives on-site
- Mentor junior superintendents and develop field leadership talent
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or Journeyman Trade Certification (preferred)
- 10+ years of construction experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Completion of Builders' Framework Fundamentals and progress in Essentials courses
- Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, subcontractor management, and safety regulations
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering and design
- Tactical understanding of contracts and subcontracts
- Ability to delegate effectively and leverage team expertise
- Commitment to quality and safety standards
- Proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling software
