Position Summary
Lauren Services is seeking an Electrical Designer with a minimum of 2 years of electrical design experience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment. The successful candidate will support oil & gas and energy projects, working closely with engineers and project teams to develop high-quality electrical and control system designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to develop design concepts and prepare detailed drawings.
- Establish drawing setup standards and procedures for drafting personnel.
- Prepare plans, details, and sections to accurately communicate construction and fabrication requirements.
- Review, check, and back-check electrical drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate and integrate vendor-supplied drawings into project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and quality management policies.
- Support drafting and engineering management procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of electrical and control design experience in an EPC/EPCM environment.
- Minimum 3 years of oil & gas industry experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Microsoft Excel.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of design and drafting practices, industry standards, and applicable codes.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in current releases of AutoCAD and CADWorx.
