This is a hybrid role.
Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Sponsorship Sales; the Sponsorship Coordinator is a key member of the sales and marketing team at Canlan Sports. Committed to creating sports communities that change lives for the better, this role will ensure we deliver value to both our customers and clients. To be more specific, we need help in the co-ordination, development and execution of sponsorship materials including client pitch decks, production, managing workloads, quality, and standards of advertising materials in support of sponsorship initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of all sponsorship initiatives across our portfolio of sports complexes, both digital and in-arena assets, from start to the finish line.
- Assist in research and proposal development for clients
- Assist in strategic consulting with sponsorship partners to ensure effective and timely direct-to-customer execution of sponsorship strategy
- As required, you'll work on our competitive analysis, market share, and other research projects that pertain to this key area of our business
- Assist in the development of sponsorship reports of campaign performance and consolidate in presentations to clients
- Cooperate with Sponsorship partners to ensure the effectiveness of all customer- related sponsorship for marketing and promotional contests.
- Assist in collaboration with all internal stakeholders from sales, product teams, marketing and sports complex colleagues to launch and execute sponsorship activities including on-site event executions
- Coordinate meetings and project manage sponsorship programs as required
- Sponsorship clients may include Molson, CWENCH Hydration, Scotiabank, Sherwood and others
- College or University Degree in Sales & Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media relations/technology, or equivalent required.

- Communication comes first. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across various channels, using tone of voice appropriate for intended audience.
- Enthusiastic with a passion for creative within the sports and recreation industry
- Ability to conceptualize sponsorship deals into marketing campaigns that are compelling while adhering to brand standards and buyers' persona
- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail with meticulous grammar skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize projects based on level of importance while establishing deadlines and workback schedules based on key project dates
- Driven self-starter, autonomous with capability to multi-task & function well under pressure
- Exceptional at disseminating key findings within the digital landscape
- Proven experience using CMS, SMM, Google Analytics and project management software
- Deep technical knowledge of efficient sponsorship and/or content promotion strategies
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies or processes and develop efficiencies for utilization.
