Automotive Accountant (Deal Processor)

Overview

Recruiting Room is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Accountant (Deal Processor) to support full-cycle automotive accounting. You'll ensure accurate deal posting, remittances, account reconciliations, and month-end support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Posting: Accurately record and process vehicle and F&I deals in accordance with policies and accounting standards.

• Remittances: Prepare and reconcile sales-related remittances; submit on time and maintain supporting documentation.

• Account Reconciliations: Reconcile assigned schedules (e.g., AR/AP, clearing, inventory, warranty, incentives) and resolve variances.

• Month-End & Financials: Assist with month-end close (accruals/deferrals) and provide inputs for balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.

• Compliance & Controls: Maintain audit-ready files and uphold internal controls and data integrity.

• Other Duties: Complete additional accounting tasks as assigned.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

• Deal Accuracy Rate (error-free postings)

• Remittance Timeliness (on-time filings)

• Reconciliation Precision (variances cleared within targets)

• Month-End Efficiency (deliverables met on schedule)

• Task Completion Rate (assigned duties completed on time)

Qualifications

• Accounting education or equivalent experience (required)

• Minimum 1 year accounting experience in an automotive dealership (required)

• 2+ years general accounting experience (asset)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)

• Strong written and verbal English communication

• Punctual, reliable, highly accurate, and deadline-driven

• Team-oriented, courteous, and professional

Compensation

• Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 per year

• Final offer based on skills, experience, and overall fit
