On behalf of our client, a custom fabrication shop in the Durham Region, we're recruiting a machinist.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant machining experience
• Ability to independently read drawings and use lathes and milling machines in metal and aluminum production
• Experience grinding inserts for custom profiles

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings
• Operate lathes and milling machines to specifications
• Analyze and formulate strategies for how to repair components and assemblies
• Follow all workplace safety protocol
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances

Compensation and shift:

• $26.00-$30.00/h
• Overtime opportunities
• Steady day shift (Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm)
• Tools provided by company
