Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Associate LawyerPosition Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected national law firm in their search for a Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Lawyer to join their Winnipeg office. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer to work on complex and high-profile M&A transactions as part of a collaborative and well-established business law team. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of corporate and transactional matters while benefiting from mentorship and professional development opportunities within a top-tier firm.Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and advise on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and other corporate transactions.
• Provide counsel to clients on corporate governance, finance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, negotiate, and review complex transactional and corporate documents.
• Collaborate with cross-practice teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Support senior lawyers in driving strategic legal outcomes and managing multifaceted transactions.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and mentorship activities to support team growth.Requirements:
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-call experience practicing corporate law in Manitoba (Canadian experience required).
• Demonstrated experience in corporate and M&A transactions, including deal execution and structuring.
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Manitoba (or eligible for admission).
• Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
• Experience in banking, corporate finance, or corporate reorganizations is considered an asset.
