Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator position is responsible for the accurate and complete preparation of regulatory and certification documents that need to be distributed to customers. This role assists in auditing activities, including the preparation of documents and procedures needed to satisfy regulatory and certificate requirements. A main focus of this role is participating in the supplier verification program, ensuring that incoming materials meet all requirements for regulatory and customer needs.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Coordinate the development and revision of customer-facing regulatory documentation, including quality dossiers on products reflecting statements and certifications
- Assist in the management of the supplier verification program, including collection and management of documents, statements, and supplier audits
- Manage the delivery of customer documentation and information
- Assist in the review of label documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage the creation and updates of regulatory and quality dossiers on core products, and work with customers for their specific needs for custom products
- Work with suppliers and certification agencies to ensure we have necessary documentation to satisfy customer requirements
- Assist in approval of new products set up, ensuring they meet all necessary regulatory and customer requirements
- Maintain the SDS documentation required for all products
- Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory and certification filings and inspections
- Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to regulatory document management
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies as needed, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and requests for information
- Support the environmental monitoring program, including keeping documentation up to date and reviewing monitoring reports
- Request and categorize supplier qualification documents for all suppliers of raw materials and packaging components
- Conduct audits of manufacturing processes, products, and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide quality approval and support on internal specifications relating to new and existing products
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality system
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues throughout the production process
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with the Microsoft suite of programs
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field required
- PCQI designation as asset
- Minimum 2 years experience in a quality control role, preferably related to production or manufacturing
