Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd. is an industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer located in Penticton, BC. They specialize in building a wide variety of world-class equipment and machinery for customers across multiple industries in North America. Situated on over 2 acres of land, their facility is equipped with the latest in-house state-of-the-art tooling, equipment and engineering technology to provide a wide variety of manufacturing capabilities including concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly to testing.

They are currently looking to add an experienced Journeyman Welder to their team. Their welding fabrication capabilities consist of carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum. They have their CSA standard W47.1 fusion welding of steel and W47.2 fusion welding of aluminum and have dedicated carbon and stainless steel department specializing in design, manufacturing and installation of a variety of industrial equipment and machinery.

As the successful candidate you have a minimum of 3 years welding experience, where you have been welding various types of metals and using different welding processes. You are someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail and is dedicated to exceeding standards in quality and safety, ensuring that the work area remains clean and organized each day. In this role you will be responsible to weld and inspect finished parts for quality and blueprint accuracy as well as safely handle overhead cranes, cutting torches and other power tools as required.

Requirements

• Journeyman Welder with a minimum of 3 years previous experience
  
• CWB certified in FCAW / SMAW and GMAW
  
• Excellent metal finishing skills with high attention to detail
  
• Dedicated to holding high quality and safety standards in workmanship
  
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in team environment
  
• Professional communication skills
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
  
• Able to interpret blueprints and schematics
  

This position offers a competitive hourly wage in the range of $31.00–$36.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits plan.
