Summary:
We are looking for a curious, driven, and service-oriented Junior Desktop Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate or someone with 12 years of hands-on IT support experience who is eager to learn, build their skills, and grow within a fast-paced tech company.
Reporting to our Senior IT Administrator, youll be a key player in delivering exceptional day-to-day support for our hybrid teamensuring their devices, systems, and tools are working seamlessly. Youll help with everything from resolving tickets to setting up new workstations, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, and supporting both PC and Mac environments.
This role is in-office four days per week to support our local team and equipment needs.
Must have lived in Canada for at least 5+ years
Must live within 30 minutes from Waterloo
Job Duties:
- Monitor and respond to internal IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across both Windows and macOS environments.
- Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, monitors, peripherals, and phones.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including workstation setup, account provisioning, and equipment collection.
- Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT supplies.
- Assist with user administration in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other company systems.
- Document common solutions and processes to build out our internal IT knowledge base.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure employees have the tools and access they need.
- Participate in IT-related projects and rollouts as needed.

Qualifications:
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 02 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (new grads encouraged to apply!).
- Working knowledge of:
Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting, Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
- Hardware setup and troubleshooting (laptops, docking stations, monitors, etc.)
- Bonus: Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Freshservice) or familiarity with Active Directory.
