Job Description:

Edmundson Transportation Services is a Mississauga-based transportation company working in the flatbed sector. We have 40 tractors and 100 trailers doing between 150 and 200 jobs per week.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Dispatcher to join our team. In this key role, you will help keep daily operations running smoothly and ensure we continue to deliver the outstanding service our customers expect. Success in this position requires quick thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to track and anticipate the past, present, and future positions of our assets. Just as important, you'll bring a positive, team-oriented attitude to every situation.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular communication with deployed drivers, provide prompt updates to customers, and work to resolve operational issues as they arise.

• Accurately update trailer locations, site times, and other operational data in the system.

• Keep customers informed of pickup schedules, delivery times, and on-site wait times.

• Work with the owners and the mechanics to track and schedule truck and trailer maintenance.

• Identify opportunities using web-based load boards and coordinate new work with third-party logistics companies.

• Data entry, invoice processing, and document management.

• Assist with additional logistics-related administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry is preferred.

• Proficiency in using computer systems, including Google products and logistics software.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and check own work.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
