Plasman Tilbury is currently seeking a new member to join our QUALITY team as a:

QUALITY ENGINEER

The QE plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our quality standards. Working within a cross functional team, you will work within established quality assurance processes to ensure product compliance with internal and external specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in detailed process analysis, ensuring the highest levels of product integrity through the development and enforcement of quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues, implementing effective corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Conduct thorough audits and inspections, identifying areas for process optimization while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and document comprehensive quality control plans and processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize statistical methodologies to monitor product performance, driving data-driven decisions and innovations within quality management systems.
  • Provide support in risk management activities, identifying potential quality issues and recommending preventative measures.
  • Facilitate training sessions for team members to promote quality awareness and reinforce process adherence.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, producing reports that highlight trends, successes, and areas for development.
  • Ensure seamless communication with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders on quality-related matters, fostering a culture of quality excellence.
  • Champion quality initiatives by leading problem-solving workshops and quality improvement projects to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills We're Looking For
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field of study; a combination of education, training and years' working experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control capacity within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient with quality management systems (QMS) and familiar with industry standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of utilizing statistical process control (SPC) tools and techniques effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating initiative and leadership when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex quality concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are considered an asset.
  • Proficient in using quality assurance software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
