Position Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires precision, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
● Accounting Operations:
○ Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
○ Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
● Financial Reporting:
○ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
○ Assist in the preparation of management reports with detailed analyses.
● Compliance and Auditing:
○ Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
○ Support external auditors during annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
● Tax Preparation:
○ Assist with tax fi lings and coordinate with external tax advisors as required.
○ Ensure accurate recording of tax liabilities and maintain compliance with tax regulations.
● Cash Management:
○ Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports.
○ Assist in maintaining banking relationships and executing wire transfers.
● Support Functions:
○ Assist the Controller / Finance Manager with budget preparation and variance analysis.
○ Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.

1. Financial Accuracy:
○ Error-free financial records and timely reconciliations.
○ Compliance with reporting deadlines. 2

○ Adherence to monthly and annual close schedules.
○ Timely submission of financial and tax reports.
3. Efficiency:
○ Improvement in transaction processing time.
○ Successful implementation of process enhancements.
4. Collaboration:
○ Positive feedback from colleagues and stakeholders.
○ Timely support to auditors and tax advisors.

Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fi eld; CPA designation or progress toward CPA is an asset.
● 3+ years of professional experience in accounting or related roles.
● Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
● Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
● Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
● Experience in real estate or investment management is a plus.
