Position Overview: The Shipper & Receiver is responsible for the accurate and efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role ensures that outgoing shipments are processed seamlessly and in accordance with internal procedures, while incoming goods are received, inspected, and recorded properly. Key responsibilities include accurately picking and preparing orders, packaging goods for transport, and coordinating items shipped to and from outside services. In addition, the Shipper & Receiver maintains an organized warehouse, assists with inventory counts, and supports smooth operations across business functions that rely on the accuracy and timeliness of materials handling.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods; package and prepare outgoing shipments according to internal procedures and international shipping requirements.
- Pick, issue, and restock project materials, ensuring inventory accuracy through proper transactions, counts, and cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment to load, unload, and move products safely.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure shipments contain proper documentation; manage and file shipping records and inventory of shipping materials.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the use of required protective equipment.
- Complete applicable quality records and perform work in accordance with documented procedures.
- Participate in training as required and assist team members in shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some post-secondary education is preferred.
- Materials Handling certification or equivalent experience and asset
- 1-3 years experience in warehousing or material handling.
- 1-3 years experience in receiving
- Experience in crating will be advantageous.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, technical procedures, and regulations.
- Skilled in writing clear correspondence, reports, and procedure manuals.
- Capable of effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to employees, customers, and clients.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with an ERP system.
- Proficient with the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new programs as required.
CERTIFICATES/ LICENCES/ PERMITS:
- Materials handling certification or equivalent experience.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Overhead crane and rigging.
- Forklift Licence.
- Have an excellent knowledge of proper shipping practices.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Have an eye for detail and pride in one's work.
