Job Description
Our member is a well-established, privately owned Canadian full-service mechanical contractor that continues to grow year after year. With a strong industry reputation, they strive to deliver outstanding results across a range of mechanical services, including installation and maintenance for Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI) construction projects, as well as mid-to-high-rise residential developments.
They are seeking a hard-working individual to join their team in Hamilton, ON, as a Licensed Mechanical Journeyperson.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Journeyperson 1 (JP1), you are a licensed tradesperson recognized for your skill and professionalism across multiple aspects of your craft. In this role, you will support daily project needs as directed by the Site Supervisor or Journeyperson 2, performing tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Core responsibilities include plumbing, pipe fitting, cutting, coring, trenching, measuring, layout, and completing related paperwork. You may also assist with general site duties such as housekeeping, material handling, and organizing tools or supplies.
Work takes place across various locations, including construction sites, client facilities, and Company properties. You are expected to follow direction, ask clarifying questions, and complete tasks with care for both safety and quality. You may mentor Apprentices or support other team members, contribute to smooth coordination with trades and clients, and ensure all work is completed on time and in line with project expectations.
Responsibilities:
As part of our commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility, our goal is a workforce built on respect that reflects the communities we serve. We thank all applicants for their interest but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
We are proud to be in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005 and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation. We are happy to honour accommodations at any part of the recruitment process and invite you to let us know how we can help.
