Red Seal Millwright
The Millwright is a member of the Maintenance team and participates in team efforts to achieve assigned departmental goals. Working closely with all team members is critical to ensure maintenance activities are completed correctly and on schedule, in accordance with SOPs and local regulatory requirements.
As a Maintenance Millwright on our team, your primary responsibilities include examining, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing a wide variety of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components. You will provide technical support to the production team during runtime to ensure optimal functionality of all production equipment. Using our internal asset management system, daily duties include preventative, corrective and facility maintenance. Additional tasks may be required to meet operational demands.

Wage: $37.57/hour (Ticketed) + $1.50/hour night shift premium (if applicable)
Shift: Afternoon/Night (Rotational) – Continental (10–12 hour shifts)

- Read equipment manuals and blueprints to complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective components
- Operate tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand/power tools and welding equipment
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
- Complete work orders according to PM and CM schedules
- Comply with all applicable legislative and food safety, health safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ticketed in the Millwright trade
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (food manufacturing highly preferred)
- High aptitude with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems (required)
- Proven experience with lathes, milling machines and welding equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG)
- Above-average problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs

Standard Rotation: 4-week cycle — 4 weeks on afternoon shift, followed by 4 weeks on night shift (rotation pattern continues).
Rotation occurs between: Shift 1 Shift 2 (Front End) OR Shift 4 Shift 5 (Back End)
Additional Notes- Either Saturday or Sunday will be scheduled off each week
- Night shifts: can run anywhere from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM (Shift 1 Shift 4)
- Afternoon shifts: can run anywhere from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (Shift 2 Shift 5)
- Overtime is available
- Shift coverage is determined by seniority
- Breakdown response is based on availability
- Schedule is subject to change based on operational needs
