Who You Are

As a Manufacturing Team Member – Finishing, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing operations by preparing, organizing, and maintaining all finishing materials, tools and equipment used in the production process. Your responsibilities include thermofoil application, custom and stock write away wrapping, sanding, staining, painting, and surface preparation to meet production schedules and quality standards. You will work under the direction of the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the finishing area and compliance with safety and quality standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare wood surfaces for finishing through sanding, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Apply thermofoil, custom and stock write away wrapping, stain, paint, or other finishes according to specifications.
  • Operate and maintain finishing tools, spray equipment, heat presses, and other shop machinery.
  • Ensure accurate color matching, texture, and finish consistency across products.
  • Inspect finished pieces for defects and perform touch-ups or rework as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production schedules and quality targets.
  • Follow detailed work orders, blueprints, or finishing instructions.
  • Assist in wrapping, packaging, and preparing completed products for shipment.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in woodshop finishing, including thermofoil application, custom and stock write away wrapping, sanding, staining, and painting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and finishing instructions.
  • Skilled in using and maintaining finishing tools, spray equipment, and heat presses.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean, orderly environment.
  • Team-oriented attitude with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
