OPPORTUNITY:
HEABC has an opening for a Senior Manager, Technology and Support (Senior Manager). Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Senior Manager is accountable for the cloud infrastructure, on-premises infrastructure, platforms, disaster recovery, and IMIT service desk. The Senior Manager also serves as an important part of the IMIT leadership team (ITLT) and takes a holistic view of how all parts of HEABCs IT systems operate. The Senior Manager works with the CIO and ITLT to create a vision and set strategic goals for long-term planning, budget and future work for the IMIT department. The Senior Manager ensures that all infrastructure and platforms, whether cloud, on-premises, or hosted elsewhere, are operational, updated and maintained according to industry standards, including patching. The Senior Manager is responsible for the IMIT Service Desk, ensuring it is running efficiently and supporting the organization.
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for the oversight and administration of installation and maintenance, including patching, of on-premises and cloud infrastructure and platforms, including servers, security, storage, networking, backup systems, database servers and databases.
- Leads and maintains the upkeep of on-premises and hosted data centers, including security, power, cooling, and racking.
- Responsible for leading disaster recovery (DR), including planning, administration and testing of DR systems.
- Manages internal IT support and administration, including strategic planning and budget development, process development and maintenance, monitoring and reporting.
- Provides technical consulting related to the acquisition of new systems and standards or the implementation of new and existing systems and software.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Successful completion of a university degree in computer systems or a related field. A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure and platforms and Service Desk, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ITIL Foundations v4 certification is an asset.
- 10+ years experience directly managing teams
- Working knowledge of:
- ITIL best practices framework and IT Service Management
- Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and platforms
- Microsoft 365 applications
- Database platforms including Azure DB, Microsoft SQL Server
- Development and application platforms
- On-premises servers and networks
- Knowledge of network, security and storage technologies
- Knowledge of backup technologies and approaches
- Sound understanding of the underlying principles and concepts associated with information technology, enterprise architecture and strategic IT planning
- Demonstrated ability to remain current with new technologies and new versions of existing technologies and the ability to lead teams in analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical problems independently
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work and to resolve problems and communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to teach and effectively communicate technical concepts to others

Salary Range: $106,026 to $152,413
Typical Hiring Range: $106,026 to $132,533
In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidates skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABCs sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
