About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organizations IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems while supporting business-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networks, and other IT systems.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize reliability and efficiency.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems.
Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams to implement infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and optimizations.
Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and workflows.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of server administration (Windows/Linux), networking, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.
Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Network+, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.
