As an Automotive Technician (mechanic) at First Student, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of the children who rely on our iconic yellow school buses. We offer:

• Diagnose and repair brakes, engines, suspensions, transmissions, and other systems
• Overhaul and reinstall mechanical components
• Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual checks
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Report safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
• Evaluate completed work and obtain necessary approvals
• Respond to road calls and emergency service needs
• Safely move vehicles within the work area
• Follow company policies and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Red Seal Journeyman Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Ownership of a complete set of mechanic's tools
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Availability for assigned shifts
