This role will require an enhanced background check or criminal record check for a variety of client sites. This role will also require reliable transportation to be able to access the sites you will support between Calgary, Red Deer and Lethbridge.

Sodexo offers a competitive salary range of $88,000.00 - $98,000.00. as well as Extended Benefits (Medical, Dental, Optical, Prescription Drug Plan) from day one of your new role. We also offer paid vacation and so much more!

Job Description

In your new role as Area General Manager, you will lead the day-to-day activities of our teams across multiple sites. Leveraging your solid experience in facilities management, you will assist the District Manager in delivering results in line with district objectives and customer service contract requirements. Lead the District's plans into short- and medium-term objectives for our clients.

Support the management of complex/high-risk solutions that impact sites while ensuring that operations are profitable according to contract terms. Interprets / analyzes / communicates information / data and / or synthesizes employee information in order to understand the client's operational objectives and / or understanding of the client's business strategies and ensure site results. Understands and proactively responds to complex short- and medium-term client needs by identifying requirements; translates the client's business needs into results. Ensures that quality standards defined by regulatory bodies and client contracts are met at the sites

Your financial skills will help you manage the financial efficiency of the sites. Your leadership skills will enable you to lead the Sodexo team daily, while driving a strong safety culture and a high-level customer experience. You will establish and maintain a strong and mutually beneficial business relationship, resulting in the highest levels of client satisfaction and account retention, as well as future business growth plans.

This role requires local travel in Calgary area on a daily basis and a monthly trip to Red Deer, Lethbridge

Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • You must have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Strong financial management skills: budgeting, forecasting, product costs, inventories, purchasing and labor costs.
  • Work experience in Food Service and Facilities Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop a bond of trust with customers
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in workplace health and safety management leading to operational excellence
  • Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel)
