Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight – Inbound & Outbound
- Supervise receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and routing processes to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Proactively manage workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, put-away, and replenishment.
- Oversee return processing (RMAs).
- Ensure accurate and efficient truck loading during the second shift.
- Lead and motivate a high-performing warehouse team.
- Conduct daily huddles, ongoing training, and one-on-one coaching.
- Manage performance and drive accountability.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and cross-training efforts.
- Partner with the Distribution Centre Coordinator to support truck routing, dispatching, and workforce planning.
- Align labor and resources with shift priorities and delivery deadlines.
- Transition into leading the routing and fleet scheduling function.
- Analyze and optimize delivery efficiency.
- Track and analyze KPIs (accuracy, timeliness, labor usage).
- Develop Excel-based reports, dashboards, and tracking tools.
- Support implementation and maintenance of SOPs and best practices.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct safety inspections and promote a “safety-first” culture.
- Document and follow up on safety incidents.
- Liaise with internal teams (customer service, procurement, transportation).
- Ensure smooth communication and shift handoffs.
- Provide operational support to drivers and address customer concerns in real time.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in distribution or warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities in high-volume logistics environments.
- Proven track record in managing performance constructively and effectively.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, dashboards).
- Experience in routing, fleet scheduling, or dispatching is a strong asset.
- Comfortable using WMS, RF scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with emotional intelligence and conflict resolution abilities.
- Forklift certification and ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
