This mid-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with foundational accounting knowledge and a few years of experience in public practice who are eager to build their careers in public practice accounting. You will work closely with senior team members to maintain accurate financial records, ensure timely processing of transactions, and assist in financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is a proactive learner, highly organized, and excited to contribute to a team that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.


This is a hands-on role that will give you exposure to a wide range of accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end processes, tax planning and more. Its a great opportunity to apply your education, grow your technical skills, and gain experience in a supportive environment where mentorship and professional development are encouraged. WHAT YOULL BRING

  • A minimum of two years of public practice experience.

  • General farm knowledge is an asset, but not required.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset, but not required.
  • Enrollment in the CPA program is an asset, but not required.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Prepare compilations, including reconciling accounts, posting journal entries and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review sales tax returns (GST, PST) and corporate tax returns (T2).
  • Meet with clients and prepare personal tax returns (T1) during personal tax season (March & April of each year).
  • Prepare and review bookkeeping as required.
  • Assist with tax planning calculations.
  • Give feedback and training as needed.
  • Maintain timely communication with clients and colleagues while fostering positive relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest financial and accounting trends and software.
  • Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.
