Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Temp to Perm)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm (1–3 month assignment with potential for permanent hire)
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, this full-time position is responsible for performing maintenance work across residential, day program, and administrative facilities. The ideal candidate will be skilled in repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance, ensuring all work is completed to high standards in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
Perform repairs in residential and program facilities based on work requests.
Investigate issues to determine root causes and recommend solutions.
Communicate repair needs and provide updates on completion status.
Take preventive measures to maintain and upkeep properties.
Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Building Code and safety standards.
Preventative Maintenance
Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
Recommend cost-saving strategies and improvements for efficiency.
Ensure completed work meets quality standards and agreed timeframes.
Administration & Reporting
Accurately estimate time and materials for repair projects.
Purchase required materials and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Submit invoices, receipts, and related documentation as required.
Keep leadership informed of ongoing and completed work.
Health & Safety
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with WHMIS and OHSA.
Use personal protective equipment as required.
Report any hazards, injuries, or violations promptly.
Participate in safety training and committees as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma with courses in repairs/maintenance or equivalent hands-on experience.
Minimum 3 years of full-time related maintenance experience.
Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
Valid Class G driver's license.
Experience working with diverse communities is an asset.
Ability to lift, carry, and perform physically demanding tasks.
