Senior AccountantPosition Overview:

Our client, a leader in their industry with national operations, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting directly to the Manager, this role will focus on both financial analysis and core accounting activities, supporting the consolidation of multiple entities. This position will work closely with senior leadership to provide accurate and timely financial reporting, drive operational insights, and ensure the integrity of financial information.

Responsibilities:• Prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including preparation of financial models and performance dashboards.• Ensure key balance sheet accounts are reconciled and properly documented.• Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and developing process improvements within the finance function.• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and ensure accurate cost tracking.• Prepare and submit statutory filings, tax remittances, and other regulatory reports.• Contribute to special projects, process enhancements, and system implementations as required.Requirements:• Recognized Canadian CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA).• 2 - 3 years of post-designation experience.• Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and managing month-end close processes.• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with mid- to large-scale accounting software.• Ability to work independently, think critically, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.• This is an in office opportunity.Rewards:• Base salary: $85,000 – $100,000 DOQ• Performance bonus• Extended health and dental • Matching RRSPTo Apply:
