Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Elmsdale, NS. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of automotive systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, precision, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesInspect and test mechanical units, motors, and automotive systems to identify faults and malfunctions.
Confirm findings with the supervisor to determine repair or replacement requirements.
Review work orders and perform scheduled maintenance services.
Road test motor vehicles to assess performance and identify issues.
Adjust, repair, or replace components of automotive systems according to manufacturer specifications.
Repair or replace mechanical units, drive train components, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, and HVAC systems.
Perform diagnostics and adjust systems including electrical, electronic, ignition, and transmission systems (both automatic and standard).
Weld and repair front-end components and other specialized parts.
Advise customers on work performed and provide recommendations for future repairs.
Complete detailed reports to document issues, work performed, and parts used.
Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
Required Certifications:
Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
