As a member of the Operations Team, the Cleaner will maintain the organization & cleanliness of the Guelph CHC buildings, ensuring compliance with IPAC measures, cleanliness standards, and organizational principals to help make Guelph Community Health Centre a safe and welcoming place for staff, clients, and the community.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES

  1. Follow strict standards for safety, cleanliness and overall appeal.
  2. Work closely with cleaning team on scheduling and coordinating cleaning
  3. Ensure cleaning is done in a satisfactory way for staff, clients and guests of the building
  4. Help ensure building is in working order, including notifying the coordinator of occurring deficiencies or things in need of repair

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  1. Proven working experience as a cleaner, with experience in a health care setting an asset
  2. Knowledge and understanding of Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning
  3. Ability to lift 50 lbs
  4. Experience working with biological hazards and Personal Protection Equipment
  5. Excellent organizational skills and ability to complete tasks in timely manner
  6. Flexibility, integrity and attentiveness to detail
  7. Problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  8. Ability to work in an environment of continuous quality improvement
  9. Cooperative team player
  10. Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) details, and health and safety internal responsibility processes
  11. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
