Position Title: Electrical Distribution Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Distribution Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering, design, and analysis of overhead and underground distribution systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects from conceptual design through to construction support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of medium- and low-voltage overhead and underground distribution systems.

• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and construction packages.

• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and protection coordination studies.

• Review utility standards and ensure project compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.

• Assist in project scheduling, cost estimation, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Alberta, or eligibility for registration with APEGA.

• 3+ years of experience in electrical distribution design (overhead and/or underground).

• Familiarity with utility standards, CSA codes, and industry best practices.

• Proficiency with distribution design software (e.g., CYME, Milsoft, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD) considered an asset.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
