RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Intermodal / Container Dispatch
• Professionally provide information to drivers, customers and team members
• Answer phone promptly and courteously
• Respond to emails promptly and courteously
• Accurately update and enter orders into dispatch program
• Promptly update customers websites
• Tracing shipment statuses
• Photocopying, scanning and emailing documentation
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Previous intermodal dispatch experience required
• Previous experience preferred in the transportation or intermodal / ocean container industry
• Excellent organization skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Fast and accurate keyboarding skills
• Ability to handle stress well
• Proficient with the Internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Some experience with dispatching software preferred
• Strong self-discipline and initiative
• Good knowledge of Ontario geography, especially Greater Toronto / Golden Horseshoe areas

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
