We are seeking an experienced and reliable Construction Site Supervisor to oversee the concrete foundation phase of a ground-mounted solar panel installation in Pitt Meadows, BC. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing, and a solid understanding of BC construction site standards. On an ongoing basis we are looking for a supervisor who can manage ground mount and rooftop solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Oversight:

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities during the concrete foundation phase.

  • Ensure proper execution of formwork, concrete pouring, and finishing in alignment with engineering specifications.

• Team Management:

  • Manage and lead a team of construction workers.

  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and performance.

  • Track hours worked and tasks completed for each crew member.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate daily site logs including work progress, issues encountered, and any safety concerns.

  • Communicate daily with off-site management and provide updates on timelines, material needs, and any delays.

• Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce and monitor WorkSafeBC safety protocols at all times.

  • Conduct site safety assessments and implement corrective measures as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site to prevent hazards.

• Coordination & Execution:

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, survey layout, and construction plans.

  • Liaise with local surveyors, material suppliers, and trades as needed.

  • Ensure proper curing and protection of poured concrete and adherence to weather-related requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in concrete forming and finishing.

• Proven ability to lead construction crews and ensure high-quality work under tight timelines.

• Strong understanding of BC Building Code, WorkSafeBC regulations, and environmental/site safety procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and survey layouts.

• Experience using daily logs, timesheets, and progress tracking tools.

• Excellent communication skills for coordination with both crew and remote management.

• Physically capable of navigating construction sites, performing site walkthroughs, and working in outdoor weather conditions.

Assets (Preferred but not Required):

• Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 1 or 2

• WHMIS, Fall Protection, or other relevant safety training

• Previous experience on solar or renewable energy infrastructure projects

• Red Seal or Gold Seal Construction Supervisor Certification
