This is a Saskatoon-based hybrid role, Monday to Friday. Candidates outside the area must be willing to relocate. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the following;
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead during the design phase and primary contact for technical inquiries during construction and commissioning.
- Manage engineering scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with overall project goals.
- Coordinate and provide technical oversight for work carried out with external consultants; serve as engineering leader on work executed using internal resources
- Engage with stakeholders across departments and site teams to align project objectives and expectations.
- Coordinate and lead design reviews with site personnel and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility.
- Engineering & Design Coordination
- Lead and support engineers and designers across disciplines to produce project deliverables.
- Support procurement activities including tender document preparation, proposal evaluation, and post-award technical guidance.
- Contribute to planning and funding requests with detailed engineering estimates and material takeoffs.
- Project Execution & Monitoring
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- P.Eng. Designation with APEGS is required.
- PEO designation or eligibility for registration.
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary engineering and commissioning, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of the engineering project lifecycle and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and disciplines.
