Estimator – High-Rise Residential Construction

About the Company
Our client is a well-established and growing general contractor recognized for delivering high-quality construction projects across the GTA. They specialize in residential high-rise developments and offer a supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented work environment.

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Estimator to manage and prepare cost estimates from conceptual design through to construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of high-rise residential construction, experience with trade contractor pricing, and a proven ability to work within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present accurate cost estimates and budgets

  • Coordinate with consultants to obtain required project data

  • Verify trade pricing using historical data and current market trends

  • Partner with Project Managers to analyze and compare bids

  • Recommend value engineering options and cost-saving strategies

  • Organize and manage estimating schedules and workload priorities

  • Review drawings, specifications, and other documentation for estimating purposes

  • Support tender processes and bid analysis

  • Maintain and update unit rate data and pre-qualified subtrade lists

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support scheduling and budget accuracy

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of high-rise residential construction estimating (GTA experience preferred)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel expertise required); familiarity with Procore, Revit, BIM, or Plan Swift is an asset

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Compensation & Perks

  • Salary range: $90,000 – $140,000, based on experience
