Job Description

This position involves operating a forklift within a welding/fabricating facility. The operator is responsible for the direct management and handling of designated warehousing and distribution functions at the organization's warehouse facilities. This includes accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. Requires previous experience with driving a forklift in a production or warehouse setting.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience operating a forklift (1-2 years preferred)
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping/receiving environments
• Understanding of load limits, stacking procedures, and securing loads
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (typically up to 50-75 lbs)
• Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures (cold storage, outdoors, etc.)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliability and punctuality
• Communication skills for working with supervisors, warehouse staff, and truck drivers
• Teamwork and adaptability to changing priorities
