About the role
Lead site HR for a unionized, multi-site processing environment. Youll align HR strategy to operations, coach leaders, and run a disciplined HR function across recruitment, employee/labour relations, attendance/leave, benefits, training, and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of HR Generalists; set priorities and standards
Advise managers on policy, investigations, grievance handling, and CBA application
Own full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning for site roles
Oversee attendance/leave management, return-to-work, and confidential records (HRIS)
Ensure compliance with federal/provincial legislation and OHS standards
Track and report KPIs (hiring, turnover, attendance, engagement); drive process improvement
Qualifications
8+ years in HR management, including 3+ years at HR Director level in a union environment
Strong labour relations experience (grievances, investigations, CBA interpretation)
HRIS proficiency and comfort with dashboards/reporting
Organized, practical communicator who partners well with operations
