About the Role

Neobridge Healthcare is seeking qualified Health Economists to join a contractor roster supporting the evaluation and development of economic models related to drugs, devices, and other health technologies.

Contributors will lead the creation and adaptation of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, appraise existing economic evaluations, perform quantitative analyses, and clearly communicate findings to expert and decision-making audiences. Assignments are project-based and follow structured templates and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Economic modelling and evaluation
  • Design and build economic models (e.g., de novo cost-utility analyses) using health technology inputs.
  • Analyze and synthesize quantitative data, including probabilistic sensitivity analyses and economic outcomes.
  • Critically appraise both economic and clinical evidence.
  • Interpret data from HTAs, systematic reviews, and indirect comparisons to inform model inputs.
  • Validate and refine economic models for accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for expert committees and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience conducting economic evaluations, including model development and cost-effectiveness analyses.
  • Strong foundation in current and emerging health economic methods.
  • Expertise in interpreting HTAs and integrating inputs from indirect comparisons.
  • Advanced skills in Excel-based model building and data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate, document, and troubleshoot models.
  • Proficiency in probabilistic analysis and reporting of economic outputs.
  • Strong scientific communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments.

Preferred Assets

  • Solid understanding of health technology assessment (HTA) principles and applied biostatistics.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare system and how funding and access decisions are made at provincial, territorial, and federal levels.
