The opportunity

Our client is seeking a Learning Accommodations Advisor. In this role, you will champion equal access and opportunities for people with disabilities by developing and coordinating individualized support strategies and contributing to broader institutional initiatives that promote equitable access to learning.

You will collaborate closely with leadership and administrative teams to help shape a responsive, respectful, and solution-focused work environment—one where every team member can do their best work and thrive.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Vaughan, requiring on-site work 3–4 days per week.

Why join?

Your work will directly contribute to organizational goals related to equity, inclusion, and academic excellence. By shaping adaptive learning processes and policies, you will help foster an environment that reflects a strong commitment to diversity and innovation. As you deepen your understanding of the environment, you will be well-positioned to offer recommendations that impact long-term planning and institutional strategy. This is a chance to join a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your expertise is valued, and your ideas can drive meaningful change.

As the new Learning Accommodations Advisor, you will:

  • Provide understanding and service. You will assess needs, review supporting documentation, and develop individualized accommodation plans. You will collaborate closely with clients and leaders to create fair and reasonable accommodations that meet client needs and ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance and promote awareness. You will coordinate and monitor accommodations across departments, ensuring timely, effective delivery in line with best practices and legal standards. You will create engagement through educational resources and facilitate workshops to prioritize accessibility and disability inclusion.
  • Maintain integrity and confidentiality. You will manage accurate records and ensure compliance with accessibility legislation, institutional policies, and professional standards. You will treat every client with respect while creating and maintaining boundaries and managing expectations.
  • Innovate with technology. You will recommend and manage tools and assistive technologies that enhance access and learning experiences for clients with disabilities.

You bring:

  • The background. You have a Bachelor's degree, along with knowledge of disability legislation and accommodation practices.
  • The experience. You have experience working with youth or adults requiring accommodations in a strategic support or advisory role, ideally within an educational or learning strategy context. You are familiar with accommodation plans, assistive technologies, and navigating complex student or employee needs with discretion and empathy. You manage your time and responsibilities efficiently while juggling multiple cases.
  • The mindset. You are an innovative problem solver with a high attention to detail. You are solutions-oriented, proactive, and grounded in a deep respect for autonomy. You understand the importance of inclusion and are committed to reducing structural barriers in education and employment.
  • The interpersonal skills. You have professional and flexible communication skills, and can adapt to meet the needs of your audience. You can build trusting and influential relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels. You collaborate with ease, handle sensitive situations professionally, and communicate clearly to ensure satisfaction.
