Crown Reach/Counter Balance Operator

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Hurontario and Edwards
Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
Shifts: Day Shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime available.

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Crown Reach/Counter Balance Operator to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone looking to establish a long-term career with our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, and storage of dangerous goods in drums, in accordance with all safety regulations and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and effectively operate Crown Reach and Counter Balance forklifts to handle, transport, and store drums containing dangerous goods.

• Follow all Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) guidelines and company safety procedures.

• Use RF scanner technology for accurate inventory tracking and documentation.

• Demonstrate computer literacy to navigate and utilize company software and databases for record-keeping and operational tasks.

• Assist with loading and unloading shipments, including flatbeds, ensuring proper securing and segregation of hazardous materials.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA/WHMIS standards.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience operating Crown Reach and Counter Balance forklifts.

• Proficiency in using RF scanners and strong computer literacy.

• Previous experience handling drums or hazardous materials is an asset.

• Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and hazardous goods handling procedures preferred.

• Ability to work the designated shifts, with availability for overtime as needed.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with WMS is an asset.
