Civil Superintendent

Location: Markham Ontario

Salary: $ 120,000-$135,000

OUR CLIENT:

Our client, an established civil construction company has an immediate need for a Civil Superintendent to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and to oversee some of the largest portfolios in Canada. This position, based in Markham will oversee projects from planning stage to hand off and completion, ensuring site safety, and projects are completed on time and on budget.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 6-10 years of experience as a Civil Construction Superintendent
• Previous experience with heavy civil construction projects is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of industry standards
• Experience working with stakeholders, sub-contractors and approval authorities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with construction crews, sub-contractors and stakeholders, ensuring the safety of all site personnel
• Oversee the allocation and distribution of materials and equipment for each project
• Oversee the scheduling and distribution of work for construction crew and sub-contractors
• Ensure the quality of work meets company and client expectations, while projects are completed on time and on budget
• Keep accurate records regarding project progress
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
• Attend all safety meetings
• Liaise with the project team during the initial phases of the project

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Microsoft Projects, Excel, Microsoft Office
