Job Summary:
The Service Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing a team of Service Technicians and support personnel who promptly and professionally address the needs of customers through the performance of onsite repair of BMS and HVAC mechanical systems. The Service Manager shall further be responsible for client satisfaction and retention, budget allocation and inventory control in addition to providing leadership to a team of skilled Service Technicians and support personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a productive and positive working environment.
- Oversee and direct the activities of Service Technicians and support personnel.
- Manage and implement all service administrative processes.
- Plan and prioritize work for staff in conjunction with Service Coordinators.
- Recruit, train and assign departmental staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Assist with developing and managing budgets.
- Manage efficient use of company materials.
- Ensure efficient management of quality and cost control.
- Update and maintain information in Ainsworth Inc. records systems and department databases.
- Coordinate with the construction department on job turnover.
- Coordinate with small projects and service sales staff, give feedback on projects.
- Invoice review and auditing on weekly basis.
- Promoting and maintaining Ainsworth culture.
- Handle client complaints and invoice disputes.
- Manage service vehicle fleet.
- Ensure adherence to Ainsworth safety program and OH&S regulations as a manager
- Annually review and set the service billable labor rates based on local market conditions.
- Control and maintain service inventory levels.
- Manage monthly service department financial performance for all service revenue streams.
- Work closely with Special Projects teams on projects involving existing clients.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Service department experience
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Engineering Technology diploma an asset
- Journeyman electrical or HVAC ticket an asset
- Excellent understanding of BMS services and HVAC equipment.
- Good understanding of all products and services provided by Ainsworth Inc
