About the Team
Our mission is to grow and empower local economies. By building intelligent, last-mile delivery technology for local cities, we connect people with the local businesses they care about — helping grow businesses and the communities that support those businesses.
The mission of our Consumer Retention Marketing team is to nurture the engagement and retention of millions of customers across email, push notifications, and in-app messages. We create robust consumer lifecycle programs that drive efficient growth and delight customers by delivering personalized messages, rewards, and offers that are tailored to user behaviour and preferences.
About the Role
As a Contingent Worker on the Consumer Retention team, you will be responsible for communications and programs that increase the retention and engagement of our customers across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging. You will be responsible for building CRM journeys that bring over proven experiments from the US to the Canadian market.
Responsibilities:

  • Understand the strategy and framework behind proven US CRM campaigns and the changes required to adapt to the Canadian market.
  • Collaborate with Central partners, including Consumer Retention Strategists and Operators, Strategy & Operations, Data Analysts, and Product team members where necessary to understand how campaigns are set up in order to port over.
  • Use omni-channel marketing tools to build complex CRM journeys/workflows (Braze), including triggered campaigns and automations, with static and dynamic content.
  • Manage end-to-end development and execution of email/push notification campaigns. Includes driving the creative review process, collaborating with designers and copywriters, identifying target audience segments, and incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Analyze the impact of deployed initiatives on key business metrics like order rate and revenue, and create and share performance reports with key stakeholders.
  • Support creative ideation & iteration, including creative optimization with the help of internal creative resources.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in customer retention, email, or growth marketing
  • In-depth understanding of ESP/Marketing Automation platforms (i.e., Braze, Iterable, ExactTarget, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys) and experience deploying complex CRM programs
  • Experience with data analysis, targeting, and program measurement (preference for SQL proficiency)
  • Understanding of how technical stacks work, with first-principles thinking and strong logic in order to clearly brief, collaborate with, and influence central product, engineering, data, and analytics teams
  • Results-oriented with an exceptional track record of developing profitable retention or cross-channel marketing programs and exceeding performance targets
  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently, while also able to build strong internal relationships and consensus on initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills; able to create data-driven marketing campaigns end-to-end
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience with CRM technology, segmentation tools, and complex data structures and systems
  • Extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with basic HTML and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Periscope)
