Job Title: IT Technical Recruiter – Government Clients

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven IT Technical Recruiter with proven experience supporting government clients (federal, state, or local). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of public sector hiring processes, compliance requirements, and the ability to source, screen, and present top-tier IT professionals for a variety of projects and contract roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers, program managers, and HR to understand staffing needs and position requirements for government contracts.

  • Source and attract qualified IT candidates using job boards, networking, referrals, social media, and recruitment databases.

  • Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess skills, qualifications, and security clearance levels.

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating technical assessments, and extending offers.

  • Maintain candidate pipelines for active and future government projects.

  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with OFCCP, EEO, and government contracting regulations.

  • Coordinate with onboarding teams for background checks, security clearance processing, and pre-employment documentation.

  • Track recruiting metrics, provide regular status updates to stakeholders, and ensure timely placement of candidates.

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • 3–5+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably with a staffing agency or government contractor.

    • Experience recruiting for government clients (federal/state/local) in IT and technical domains.

    • Knowledge of security clearance levels (Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret) and clearance verification processes.

    • Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ClearanceJobs, and other platforms.

    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and vendor management systems (VMS).

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
