OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalanced fork lift, to move, load and unload materials throughout the manufacturing facility
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Materials:
- Safely and efficiently pilot a counterbalanced fork life to move, load and unload materials in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Conduct daily inspection of the forklift ensuring any safety concerns are reported promptly after operating the vehicle.
- Manage pallets throughout the plant ensuring appropriate set up and packaging for shipment.
- Diligently problem solve to ensure minimal material handling and ensure machines are supplied to run a peek capacity.
- Independently and proactively empty scrap bins throughout the facility.
- Follow all material handling policies and procedures ensuring material is stored efficiently to support production activities.
- Assist with program changeovers providing assistance where necessary.
- Assist with Shipping Receiving as required.
Other:
- Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
- Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
- Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.
- Other duties as assigned.

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Materials:
- Hold a valid Forklift license with no major accidents on record.
- Certified or previous training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods would be an asset

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
