Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to support our daily operations and assist our Dispatcher in ensuring efficient logistics processes. In this role, you'll work closely with the Dispatcher to manage scheduling, routing, and communication with drivers. You'll also play a vital behind-the-scenes role in helping to plan, forecast, document, and provide timely reminders to keep everything running smoothly. Job Description

  • Support the Dispatcher in assigning and monitoring driver routes to and from our construction job sites,
  • Assist with monitoring hours of service, organizing records and recording per day notes and details related to the loads,
  • Communicate with drivers to relay dispatch information, resolve issues, and provide updates,
  • Drive innovation by identifying process improvements and contributing creative solutions to operational challenges,
  • Attend meetings, accurately document minutes, and ensure timely follow-up on action items identified during discussions,
  • Draft correspondence and maintain open lines of communication to uphold our commitment to excellence,
  • Perform general administrative duties, including photocopying, filing, and maintaining office supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility for overtime and occasional Saturdays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attendance at a monthly 6:00am safety meeting (typically the first Monday of the month)
  • Attendance at a bi-monthly 6:00am team meeting

Assets

  • Previous experience in administration, logistics, or dispatch
  • Experience with software programs: Procore, Idencia
  • Experience using dispatch radios
