About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team for an upcoming outage near Anzac. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality and compliance of all work performed during the turnaround and maintenance activities. You will work closely with project teams to maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and regulatory adherence.
Camp accommodations will be provided along with a $50/night camp bonus.
Schedule & Work Hours
- Aug. 25 – Aug. 29: 10-hour shifts
- Long weekend break
- Sept. 3 – Sept. 8: 12-hour shift
PPE & Safety Requirements
- Clean-shaven
- OCL Provided: Coveralls, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, and specialty PPE (respirators, etc.)
- Employee Provided: CSA-approved work boots, FR-rated clothing with high-visibility stripes (if not wearing OCL-supplied coveralls)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop discipline ITPs and ensure stages are followed.
- Maintaining project quality records, logs and turnover documents.
- Material receiving, inspection and verification.
- Appropriate planning of work to ensure project requirements are being met.
- Sub contractor quality management, status oversight and review of documents.
- Read civil and piping drawings, GA's and PID's.
- Coordinate, monitor and review NDT and reporting.
- Monitoring of welding, weld mapping and visual inspections.
- Able to construct hydrotest packs and complete final walkdowns
- Complete redline and as-built drawings integrated with RFIs & MoC directives.
Education/Skills/Experience
- CWB Level 2 certification with 5+ years experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industrial projects,
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector in industrial construction, turnarounds, or maintenance environments
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and inspection processes
- Strong computer skills, especially in the use of Microsoft and Google Suite of products. We are a Google-based company.
- Understands Quality Inspection Procedures, Tools and Equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with crews, supervisors, and management
- Proficiency in completing inspection documentation and quality reports
- Valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract, and ability to pass pre-employment requirements
- H2S Alive certification is an asset
- Must be able to work legally in Canada
