Data Intelligence Compliant Migration Tool Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Intelligence Compliant Migration Tool Specialist to lead and support compliant data migrations using policy-driven and metadata-aware toolsets. This role focuses on facilitating secure, auditable migrations from legacy platforms to Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) or cloud object storage, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute compliant data migration workflows, including scanning, classification, and movement of structured/unstructured data.
• Utilize and configure tools such as Hitachi Data Intelligence Suite (DIS), Data Discovery Suite, or third-party compliant migration platforms.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, retention, privacy, and compliance policies (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, FINRA).
• Automate metadata tagging, lineage tracking, and audit logging throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Work with legal, compliance, and IT stakeholders to define data policies and validate post-migration success.
• Provide documentation, risk assessments, and reporting to satisfy audit and legal requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data migration, classification, or compliance-focused projects.
• Knowledge of Hitachi Content Platform, HCP Metadata, and policy engine configuration.
• Experience with compliance regulations affecting data (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
• Hands-on with tools such as DIS, Varonis, AIP, or other DLP/classification technologies.
• Familiarity with structured and unstructured data systems, including NAS, SharePoint, email, and databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in legal hold, defensible deletion, and audit trail development.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Certifications in information governance or data privacy (CIPP, CIPM, IG certification).
